Important note:
All classifications refer to the raw, unprocessed form of the foods. Cooking, steaming, roasting or added spices can change their properties.

Each entry provides detailed guidance on how it can be prepared to be more suitable for the Doshas.

Practical tip:
Avoid applying too many filters at once. It’s best to start with 1–2 filters and expand your selection as needed.

Hot and pungent, reduces Vata and Kapha but can aggravate Pitta. Supports immunity and digestion.

Honey

Heating and astringent, reduces Kapha and supports detoxification. Should not be heated.

Sweet and cooling, pacifies Vata and Pitta. Nourishing and grounding when warm and spiced.

Sweet and digestive fruit that balances Vata and Kapha. Stimulates Agni and supports detox.

Corn Oil

Warming and heavy, increases Kapha but balances Vata in small amounts. Supports strength and lubrication.

Warming and heavy food that balances Vata, but can increase Pitta and Kapha if overused. Strength-giving and grounding.

Grapefruit

Sour and bitter fruit that reduces Kapha and Pitta. Stimulates Agni and cleanses the liver.

Sweet and slightly sour fruit that pacifies Vata and Pitta. Nourishing and refreshing when ripe.
