Borage

Borage, Borretsch, Bourrache, Borraja, Borago officinalis, -

Borage (Borago officinalis) is an aromatic herb with bright blue flowers and slightly hairy leaves. Traditionally, it has been used in Ayurveda for its cooling properties, helping to balance Pitta and calm excess heat in the body. The leaves and flowers are mildly diuretic and support healthy skin and digestion. Borage is also valued for its nutritive qualities, particularly its minerals and trace elements. It is versatile in culinary use, from salads to teas, and can be used fresh or dried.

Generally neutral; supports hydration, digestion, and gentle nourishment without aggravating Vata.
