Ashwaghanda

Traditionally classified in Ayurveda as a “Rasayana” (rejuvenative tonic). Especially valued for supporting vitality, nervous strength, quality sleep, and stamina. Contains withanolides, iron, alkaloids, phytochemicals, and antioxidants.

Calms the nervous system, strengthens tissues, supports sleep – very suitable.

Well tolerated in moderate amounts; helps with burnout but may require cooling herbs in high Pitta states.

Should be used with caution; its heavy and oily nature may increase Kapha when overused.
